Recycle Bookstore

 The first stop on my tour of independent book stores is Recycle Bookstore!

Bookstore Cat!

This bookstore is located in San Jose within walking distance of the San Jose caltrain station. It's a combination used and new book store- and it has cats! Now I am biased in favor of Science Fiction/Fantasy, YA, and Manga/Graphic Novels sections so reviews are often going to favor those sections. I'll try to get some photos and information on other sections but I'm not as familiar with those areas so I won't be sure if they are truly robust or not.

This store had quite a wide variety of all three sections I frequent, I was pleased to see! Like most of the time the Sci-fi/Fantasy section was towards the back, conveniently located by the manga section. There were 2 1/2 full rows of books in this section which was quite impressive. I did not find the trade paperbacks of any of the books on my list that I am questing for at used book stores at the moment. 

The manga section was also actually quite impressive- I wasn't expecting several shelves full! And I also found a very nostalgic title with all the volumes and per my impulse purchases from used bookstores are allowed rules I did end up getting them!

The YA and children's section was off to the other side of the store and was quite extensive as well! I was pleased to see it was very robust though again I didn't see any of the books I've been sort of questing for here either. 

I would stop by again if I were in the area to see if any of the used trade paperbacks I'm looking for happen to be in but I probably won't go out of my way to drive here regularly.
