A first review of the challenge afternoon tea list! Tea Time in Palo Alto is a small afternoon tea shop that mostly takes reservations only though there were a few people that did walk-in. On weekends or busy times it's recommended that you make a reservation so that you can be guaranteed a spot especially since the place is very limited seating.
My first afternoon tea review is actually not in California at all! My parents were lovely enough to bring me to the local to them tea shop over winter break when we visited ☕ I did also visit it at the very end of 2022 but this will also serve as a test run of this rating format for my future tea visits 💕
This year I'm going to embark on a different type of challenge/goal- visit all the afternoon tea shops in the area! I really like afternoon tea and there's been a few times in the last year when someone has asked my "favorite" spot for afternoon tea and I didn't really know the answer! It had been several years since I had been to some and there are quite a few more that I have not visited yet. There are popular meet-up locations where due to space availability and more central location but were those ones my favorites? Thus the idea of visiting them all relatively close together along with some sort of a review process was born!
I almost did it! I had plans to wear everything but due to unforeseen circumstances of not getting back to the bay area in time due to the Southwest Airlines meltdown mess means I still have a few pieces to wear before I've worn everything. It was fesible! Just not quite done.
