6 Month Wishlist Check-in

How am I doing with this wear everything challenge? How am I feeling about it? How well have I done sticking to my wish list?

Looking at the numbers:

I have 82 main pieces and currently I've worn 45! I'm actually not doing too bad! It's a little hard to count actually because a good chunk of stuff is lolita brands but I wear it casually and don't take pictures of. It will be interesting to see what I choose out of my true 'lolita' items to re-wear a second time. I have a feeling that it will be some of the more plain or casual comfy things. There are definitely things I've gravitated to wanting to re-wear already that fall into this category. Mademoiselle De Paris JSK is definitely in this category-its so comfy and while it's printed the print is small and all over so it's less intense. This makes it a good candidate for cute, definitely lolita and a bit dressed up but not completely outrageously so.

As a reminder you can find my wish list here. These were the lolita specific things I bought in the last 6 months

BtSSB Kumya Printed Umbrella in black:

Angelic Pretty Blouse (On the wish list!):

Angelic Pretty Topping Heart socks:

Angelic Pretty Dot Color Ribbon Hairbows:

Angelic Pretty Candy Pop OP:

Triple Fortune brooch/hair clip:

Cotton Candy Feet Bag (On the wish list!):

Cotton Candy Feet Pink Shoes (On the wish list!):

I only sort of stuck with my wish list but that's part of the nature of new things coming out! You can never really predict it, especially what brands want to re-release! I definitely wasn't expecting Candy POP to be re-released and as it's a staple print of mine in skirt and JSK form I wanted it in the OP cut. I was disappointed that they didn't release the opposite colorway pinkxblack instead of blackxpink but I'm glad I got it anyway!

I've also sold a few things including my Meta Kitten and Tulip skirt and Angelic Pretty Ball JSK from 2006. Unfortunately this means I am lacking an all black JSK now which I am going to add to the wishlist but I don't feel too bad about this since it's a replacement of an older staple item! I also got a hole in my pink Fantasic Dolly tights which were my pink with a little black print on them go-tos so I bought the topping heart socks in pink at least to try to replace that item in my wardrobe.

Overall I think I've been doing pretty good holding back on purchases! I definitely think going to my wardrobe and being overwhelmed with choices helps when I think about buying stuff; especially main pieces. I've definitely lusted after some things and then been like 'Wait why do I want this? What do I currently have that fills a similar feeling?'. It can be a good thing when I have very consistent taste because often I look at the new thing and when I ask this it turns out I already have something similar because I like what I like! You can really see this pattern in my purchases over the last few months.

What have you worn multiple times since the beginning of the year? Have you stuck to your wishlist/budget if you have one? Let me know in the comments!
