Bells Books
I went to tea in Palo Alto with a friend and was able to stop by Bells Books for a short time! It's a local indie bookstore that specializes in rare and unusual used books but also has a large selection of more general used books and a very small section of new items as well.
The small sci-fi and fantasy section
I tend to prefer gene fiction scifi and fantasy for my books and this place specialized in older titles and less genre fiction. While I do have a list of older titles I would like to obtain from used book stores I did not see any of them here since that section is quite small.
It's a really pretty book store if you're ever in downtown palo alto in the afternoon! I'd rate it a great photo spot or if you're looking for a rare book but if you're looking for any sort of book published in the last 40 years this is not the place.
I'll probably visit again if I'm in the area and I am waiting for a reservation or the next train but it's not a bookstore I'd go out of my way to visit again.
