Fabulosa Books

I was able to make it down to the Castro to go to Fabulosa Books! They are an indie bookstore with an emphasis on LGBT+ titles.

The outside was painted a lovely inviting purple with a rainbow books sign in front.

The store itself was small but well laid out and utilized the space that they did have really well. Each section had your regular genre tag such as scifi or graphic novels then had "Queer____" if you wanted to browse only queer stories!

There were some displays around the store with local queer history, current popular reads, or my favorite one all about cats!

This bookstore is close to the K line for Muni and is open pretty late around 9pm on weekdays so would be an easyish stop after work if I needed to pick up a specific title or just wanted to browse!

I found one book that I haven't seen carried anywhere else yet: Angels Before Man by Rafael Nicolas. I also found a book that's quickly rising to the top of my 'To Be Read' list for the authors usually cozy and hopeful sci-fi writings Record of a Space Born Few by Becky Chambers.
